New to basket making, caning and weaving, Compressed Hardwoods can be employed to make your work both easier and more dramatic. Twisted handles, bent hoops, and heavy, solid wood details with extreme bends are possible with 12 species to choose from. No steaming or backing straps are required. All bending can be done by hand. Extreme radius 3D bends may be accomplished. An obvious replacement for Splint Caning, Compressed Hardwoods would be much more flexible than splints, and offer new design innovations.
